AMO house & catering is finally open and was worth the wait. Located on Spence Street in the old Haru building (RIP Haru, still miss you) they are open for breakfast and lunch every day except Sunday. The breakfast was amazing! Tiger prawn omelette - spicy, seafoody and chonky focaccia. This bread was THICC. AMO crepes - filled with ricotta, topped with hazelnut praline and lots of maple syrup. Ice cream is optional. (Get the ice cream, you know you want to) Eggs Benedict - on top of that delicious AMO focaccia. Coffee - code black beans, nice and strong AMO Egg drop toastie - as advertised on the box, the best. This vertical creation is made up of scrambled eggs, bacon, avo and sweet & spicy mayo dropped into a chunk of garlic buttered brioche. YUM. In summary, great food and presentation, friendly staff and a nice ambience. Will be back to try the souffle hotcake and deep fried ice cream.
